In Loving Memory

There's no one that you have ever met who defines the spirit of Newfoundland hard work and hospitality more than Larry Phillips.

A husband, father, grandfather and friend, Larry was always busy doing something to make a living for himself and his family. Back in 2018, Larry decided to try his hand at the tourism industry by offering boat tours to anyone who would want one. In 2019, he launched Seas the Day Boat Tours in Bonavista. Tourists came from all over the world to see the whales and icebergs, but their fondest memory was meeting Larry. He had a wonderful way with people that would make you feel as if you were home. There are many stories of Larry going above and beyond anything expected to make sure everyone had a good time. The thing was, Larry was like that with everyone who knew him. It made him the perfect Newfoundland boat tour guide.

As his family, we are certainly glad that those people had a chance to meet him. We have so many good memories that will last us our lifetimes.

It is in the same spirit of hospitality and kindness that we, his family, continue to share Larry's love of the sea and the joy of making new friends.
